The Village Vanguard
One of the highlights from the NYC trip -- a visit to the jazz mecca -- the Village Vanguard. Tanya, Mike, Kate, and I saw Michael White's Original Liberty Jazz Band of New Orleans. Michael White plays the clarinet, the other instrumentalists were trumpet, trombone, piano, banjo, bass, and drums. It was real, authentic NOLA music, complete with growling trombone.
I've posted a short clip of their performance. There's not much to the video (the bassist is standing in front of a x-mas wreath in the right/center of the screen), but the audio gives you the idea. Bye for now.

Katz's Deli
The oldest delicatessan in New York, Katz's Deli. Known both for their great food and surly service -- definitely a place to visit when in the C. Mike and I had pastrami on rye, T-mart chose the potato pancakes. Delicious.
I was hungry...
Food goes in here...
Here's a two second video (wish I knew why these videos won't post all the way to the left)...
